Happy December!

Snowmen
Happy December everyone! I think it’s now safe to post some Christmas themed photos to get you all in the holiday spirit. I’ve already been humming some Christmas songs all day!

I took these photos on my lunch break today. It’s really nice to work downtown, there’s always lots of things going on!

The noodle bus
Today I tried one of the food trucks that sell Vietnamese food. I got the beef pho! Mmmmm it was actually better than I expected it to be. Not as good as a restaurant would be but definitely worth trying!

#starwars #lego ^_^
Now that it’s December, I can finally start my advent calendars that I’ve been so excited to open! I have two calendars this year, one of them is LEGO Star Wars and the other is Purdy’s chocolate.

The Lego one is so awesome because you get to build a different toy each day! The chocolate one is great too, so much better than the cheap ones from the grocery store. It’s like having a Kinder Surprise everyday except the toys and chocolate are 100x better hahah. What do you do to get yourself in the holiday spirit? Have you finished Christmas shopping yet? I haven’t even started! Eeek!

Thanks for reading! ♥

Celebrating CS:GO beta and reminiscing!

I’m super excited to add a brand new category section to my site dedicated to one of my many interests, video games! Warning: super nerdy content coming up. I’m going start off this section by talking a little bit about my first love in pc gaming, Counter Strike ♥! Although I’ve played other games before I started with Counter Strike, CS was the first game to really capture my interest enough for me play it for several years! I starting out by playing casually in the early 2000′s at LAN cafes with some friends. I eventually got the game myself and played it fairly consistently from 2004 to 2007!

It was fun following the professional teams back then. Watching live matches with EG, Complexity, 3D, SK, x6, etc.. and a lot of these teams are still around today! Team EG was and still is my one of my favorite competitive gaming teams! I’m not a super competitive person myself and I played CS for fun more than anything, I mostly played pick up games (pugs) with friends or on esea. The only time I played in any real league matches was when I joined an all girls team at one point and we played in cal-open for a season hahaha. I made quite a few awesome friends from playing the game which I still chat to once in a while, although I don’t think any of them are playing CS anymore. Real life, jobs or other games took priority and my interest in the game faded also. I stopped playing in late 2007. I was in college at the time and had to worry about my final design projects/showcase and literally had no time to play games.

It’s been quite a while since I touched CS but ever since I heard about the new version, aka Counter Strike: Global Offensive, coming out, my love for CS has been rekindled and I have started playing again a little bit and realized how rusty I am! I sadly don’t have a key for the Counter Strike:GO closed beta but I’m hoping I can get my grubby hands on the game eventually, most likely when the open beta starts T_T. edit: I just won a beta key from twitter on Dec 1! So happy :D In celebration of the beta starting today I just felt like reminiscing on CS 1.6 days (source is cool too I guess..) and also sharing with you a couple of my favorite CS videos.
