New Site Design – Then and Now

Well here you have it, it’s my new design for 2011. The overall structure of everything is not too different from my previous design. I was growing tired of my old theme and wanted a cleaner, lighter look on my site. I’m also hoping to keep blogging consistently this time. I found it really difficult to keep up with my blog last year, but it is my resolution this year to keep this site very active so you’ll be sure to see lots of good stuff on here! If you don’t, I give you total permission to give me hell. :D

I want to show you all of the different designs I’ve had on this site, ever since I created it in 2007.

Calgary Comic Expo 2010

Calgary Comic Expo 2010
Hi everyone! Here’s a short post with some photos from my trip to the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo last month. The expo took place on Saturday April 24th and Sunday April 25 but I only went on the Saturday. When we first got there, we were a bit overwhelmed by the huge line-up! So much for getting the advanced tickets, it seemed a little pointless since we had to line up anyways in a line that seemed to go on for days. It was a bit of an annoying process but it wasn’t too bad once we got inside. The exhibition area was slightly crowded but it was what you can expect at an expo!

Hey everyone! February was a super busy month for me! I was kept occupied with birthdays (including mine!), Valentine’s, Chinese New Year and the Olympics! This is an Amigurumi crochet doll that I recently made for my boyfriend’s birthday present. It’s his favourite character from the game ‘Street Fighter IV’, Ryu! Unfortunately I forgot to take progress shots while making this guy but here are some shots of my planning and a sketch of how I pictured it to look!
